Milagros Gears Up for Milestone Celebration: Pagdangan Festival 2026 Marks 160th Founding Anniversary

MILAGROS, MASBATE — The municipality of Milagros is set to become the epicenter of culture and community spirit this May as it celebrates the 2026 Pagdangan Festival alongside its historic 160th Founding Anniversary. Under the theme "Where Heritage Comes Alive, and Community Comes Together," the town has unveiled an expansive schedule that balances festive tradition with public service.




The celebration officially commenced on May 8 with the ribbon-cutting of the Milagros Fiesta Bazaar and Carnival at the Milagros Boulevard. The bazaar, a central hub for local trade and food, will remain open through May 21, offering residents and tourists a week-long opportunity to connect and shop.

The festival program highlights significant milestones for the local community:

May 16: A Mass Wedding will be held at 8:00 AM at the St. Joseph Parish Church, bringing local couples together in a shared ceremony of love and commitment.

May 21: The town will gather for a Concelebrated Mass at 8:00 AM to honor the spiritual roots of the founding anniversary.

High-Energy Events and Economic Opportunity

Sunday, May 17, marks the busiest day of the calendar, featuring a diverse range of activities for all ages:

Athletics: The Milagros Marathon: 2026 Pagdangan Edition kicks off in the early hours at 1:00 AM.

Employment: The Milagros Mega Job Fair will open its doors at the Municipal Coliseum at 8:00 AM, providing vital career links for the local workforce.

Entertainment: The day concludes with a grand Free Concert at 6:00 PM on the Boulevard, followed by a spectacular Fireworks Display and a Foam Party.

The festival will reach its high-decibel finale on May 21 with Tay-Og sa Milagros: Battle of the Sounds, where local audio enthusiasts and music lovers will gather at the boulevard to witness a showcase of sonic talent.
