Foundations of Resilience: Marking the 1578 Establishment of Buhi, Camarines Sur

On this day in 1578, the foundations of Buhi, Camarines Sur, were being laid in the heart of Bicol. Known as the land of the "escaped" (naka-buhi), this town was built by resilient souls who survived Mayon’s ancient fury. Today, it’s home to the majestic Lake Buhi and the tiny but mighty Sinarapan.

Happy Foundation anniversary to the beautiful Banwaan nin Buhi! 🐟✨
