Today, we honor the birth anniversary of the late Bishop Arturo Mandin Bastes (1944–2024). From his beginnings as an SVD priest to his 16-year leadership of the Diocese of Sorsogon, Bishop Bastes was more than a prelate—he was a voice for the voiceless and a champion of the Holy Bible. Whether he was leading the Philippine Bible Society or pushing for the "Serendipity Fund" to fight poverty, his mission was always clear: to serve God by serving the "least of these." Rest in power, Bishop Bastes. 🕊️🇵🇭
