Batan Island Infirmary Set for Soft Opening on April 28

Residents of Batan Island are set to have closer access to healthcare as Albay Governor Noel Ebriega Rosal officially announced that the Batan Island Infirmary Hospital will hold its inauguration and soft opening on April 28.

The announcement followed a successful ocular inspection conducted by the Governor today, April 9. According to Rosal, the facility will initially offer critical medical services to the island municipality, focusing on immediate patient needs.

Initial Services Available

Upon its soft opening, the following departments will be fully operational:

Emergency Room (ER): To handle urgent medical cases and stabilization.

Delivery Room: Providing a safe, dedicated space for maternal and childbirth services.

X-Ray Room: Enhancing diagnostic capabilities directly on the island.

This development is expected to significantly reduce the need for residents to travel by sea to the mainland for basic emergency care and diagnostic procedures.
